Your First and Last Name as follows: FirstName_LastName (use capital letters for the first letter of your first nams and first letter of your last name).
You have the ability to change your password once you log into the site by going to your Profile.Changing your password is recommended.

Getting Started!
Once you sign in, you will be on the Young Minds Digital Times Films Home Page. This page will allow you to view the latest uploaded videos.
If you scroll down the home page, you will be able to access your Inbox and view comments made about your video.
If you select the Video Page, you can view all the uploaded videos for the contest. After March 19th all registered students will have the ability to vote once a day on their favorite videos. (Instructions on voting will be sent out prior to the March 19th voting date). You can organize films by their category or most recently downloaded.
The Members Page allows users to meet their fellow competitors from around the country.
You will notice that there is a link on the Members Page called My Account. This link will drop down and allow you to access you personal Profile where you can upload information about yourself, upload a photo if you choose, and share information about yourself. This is OPTIONAL. Please only share appropriate information as inapproprate langage and content will result in being removed to the contest.
You also have the ability to jump to your Videos, your Inbox, as well as My Quicklist which keeps a history of your film views, My Favorites page which houses all the videos you have marked as your favs. , and links to My Friends and your Viewing History.

To Upload Your Film
1. To Upload your film select the "UPLOAD" button.
Start by adding your Video Title - You should use capital letters.
2. Write a short description of your film. (Don't give away too much, however). Check your grammar and spelling so that it is ready for publication. The judges will be reading it, so you want it to be correct.
3. Create some Tags for your video. Tags lets others search for your film easily. Tags should include:
Separate each tag with a comma.
4. Select the Category which bests fits your film for the contest.Check only ONE. (Young Minds Digital Times Competition Categories)
5. Select the CONTINUE button. You will go to a new page.
6. Upload your film just as you would add an attachment to an email. Select the Browse button and find your movie file on your computer. Select UPLOAD. The uploading process will take a few moments, so please wait until the process is complete before you close the window.
ONLY UPLOAD YOUR FILM ONCE! When your film is uploaded you can view it from your MY VIDEOS page.
If your video shows "Video Conversion In Process" Don't worry. It is uploaded and will work when you play it!
Voting
Each user can vote for their favorite films by selecting the STARS just below the video window. Rank the film out of 5 stars and your vote is cast. You can only vote for an individual film once, but you can vote for as many different films as you wish.
Feel free to leave comments for the creator as well, telling them how much you enjoyed their film. |
